Meta tags are placed in the <head> section of your HTML page, and need to be coded or be added to your CMS (Content Management System). This can be easier or harder depending your CMS. 1. Title tag

2. Meta Description

The meta description is of similar  importance to the title tag. If the title tag is the title that appears at the top of a search result, the meta description is the snippet that is displays as a secondary description in the search results.

The meta description should provide an accurate description of the content of your page. It is usually the element that determines whether users will click, and should match the users search intent. It important to optimize it effectively.

The optimum length for meta descriptions is about  170 characters, however, Google recently displays search results with longer snippets so, it is possible to make them longer.

3. Image ALT text

Image optimization is an important part of  SEO techniques. It adds your website images as search results which increases your overall website search positions. It provides a text alternative to images which will be displayed if the image doesn’t load, or will be read out by a screen reader; it also tells search engines what that image is meant to represent. It is very important to include optimized Keywords in the image alt text.
